Full-spectrum underground capability
Fortis’ underground division delivers a full spectrum of mine construction and development services, staffed by construction miners, equipment operators, project managers, and engineers. From ground control and rehabilitation to conveyor installation, crane work, ore bins, shaft sinking, shotcreting and grouting, tunnel arches, and decommissioning — we manage the complete underground project lifecycle.
Highlights include installation of over 24,087 feet (7.34 km) of cable and channel conveyor, 500-ton raw ore bin leveling, 30/10-ton overhead crane replacements, and 48-inch to 60-inch beltline upgrades — many delivered ahead of schedule.
